Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I've tried adding electrolytic capacitors (1000uf) physically very close to op amps of my MF X-DAC and it improves the treble and details. I'm starting to hear more "things" and the sound is increasingly accurate in the sense of being bright. It's improved for orchestras and operas but seems a bit bright for pop songs. I have already done heavy tweaks agains RFI with ferrite beads and even rings. For those who add caps near op amps, did you add two for every op amp or just add a big pair "in the middle" of all the ob amps ?
I have four dual op amps to "feed" and I just got 1 pair of capacitors. Space is a problem and now I'm favouring the right channel more than the left.
