Re: RadioShack 75 ohm cable for Digital Interconnect

Hola Nate. The radio shaxpert was right in relation to the F-to-RCA connections and, that is the same cable you have heard about from some inmates. What Rodney said is true too. Any 75ohm video cable serve as a digital interconnector between your transport and DAC but there are some big difference in performance. I tried, before buying a dedicated digital IC, a XLO ER-2 and a MIT Video Link video cables and the sound was masked, without detail and air. Do not discard the option of using a cheap toslink too, sometimes work relatively good over a $50-75 video cable. It all depends on your transport and dac interacction.

If you have a 1m 75ohm cable from your local cable companie (RG-6 I think), buy two adapters from your RS store and try it, what the heck it cost less than $5 and you can still used it anywhere in your HT system.

Good luck.
