You know something is up when the wife says she thinks it sounds better.
Well they are done. Made from three pieces of 3/4 inch MTF glued together, painted black. The pipes sit in a female coupler that is made to put a threaded end on PVC. "Liquid nails" is used to hold the coupler in the holes in the wood, and to hold the arrow heads in the bottom holes for elevation. Stuffed to perfection, 30 feet of sewer pipe in the living room. And the wifes says it sounds better!
It's only been 2 hours (kids got school in th AM), this is what I discovered:
- Eric Clapton "Tears in Heaven - unpluged) his foot now stomps my room, no I mean he is kicking and keeping the beat, not enough to warrent concern, just a added bonus to almost being there.
- I now can turn it up!!! no really Rebeca Piegon "Spanish Harlem"
Her voice used to resonate in a bad way. It was like she would find the harmonic frequncy of my room ever time. Not just she, but alot of recordings were "muddy?" ---drastic improvement.
- It seems louder.
- Bass is tighter, solid
- Wife says it sounds "crisper" I agree.
Again, only 2 hours. I have alot of tweaking to do, hmmmm did I get it right the first time? Anyways I'm very impressed. Thank you for all the intel everyone!!
