I am just beginning to investigate dipole subs and am intriqued so far. I understand the roll off and baffle size problems, but since I am already use a completely active xover with a seprate sub amp I can easily add the eq circuitry. I have built several ported and sealed boxes and presently use an NHT 1259 in a sealed enclosure. I am most interested in the transient attack and understand this is the dipole's strong suit but don't want to loose too much extension. Ideally an F3 in the low 30's. I am just beginning to model different drivers. Anybody have any thoughts, feelings or experience? Thanks.
