Hey,I used 9 pair braided together (3+3+3), for the bass and mid driver. For the tweeter, i used a single 4pair braid. It replaced 16ga figure 8. There was an improvement, but it wasnt night and day stuff. The cat 5 i used was all solid core, with polyelfin insulation.
