Yes, we have have both CFAC and Alpha Core inductors.We found no sonic differences at all. They performed the same in all aspects.
Pros and cons:
The Alpha Core looks a little prettier after time. The CFAC parsely seals their unit with some type of resin. After time the resin starts to turn a little yellow. It seams to have no affect on performance.
The alpha core does not make anything in 16 gauge. So, for smaller values the CFAC is the only choice.
CFAC used to be less expensive when purchased in large quanities. (better quanity discounting)
Now they are close to the same.
