Your situation with the K-horns is unique, and the placement you have may be the best solution.As a test, I would try placing both panels side by side in the middle of the front wall, and see if this helps more. You may find that you want to have three panels, the two where they are, and one in the middle of the front wall.
One other possible placement option would be to place on panel in the center of the front and the back wall, and see if this sounds best.
