MartincOver the last year and a half I have built four of Mr slone's amps. They consisted of a vintage 80's amp in a stereo version with a jfet imput stage, a mono opti 3 module and a pair of amps listed as figure 11-8 in his latest book high power audio amplifier construction manual. I can assure you u that all of his designs are throughly tested and are very high quality audiophile amps designs. Along with a quality amp u will also have Mr Slone's support and help as he is a very nice guy to work with and will help in any way he can should u have an assembly error or a question. I would suggest that if u have little experence with amp construction and audio electronics in general u also pick up his book titled understanding electricty and electronics. This book will cover all the basic principles of diodes, transistors, capacitors and many other components as well as how to test them. If you desire a very high quality amp with the added satisifaction of building it yourself along with a better understanding and knowlege of amps i would highly recommend Seal electronics and Mr. Slone to you. It might be a good idea to call him and discuss your needs along with your experence level and he will fill u in on what u should need to build one of his kits. his number and e mail address is listed in his latest book. I hope this helps.
