For Digital cables, the transition to the characteristic impedance occurs around 80 - 90 Khz (for a 'good' repected one..). This does not include the connectors - they transition at a much higher frequency ( more metal, so reduced R in the LCR transmission line), so at the base transission frequency (40Khz) for CD this impedance is likely to be around 100+ Ohms... so I doubt Canare's claims ;-)
If an Impedance curve is available for these plugs, then I really would like to see it.....I look forward to the data..
