i used to think the same thing and was totaly skeptical. I had one of his original hand held battery powered clarifiers and used it more than a few times. The directions say to use it for a minimum amount of time ( 5 to 15 seconds ??? ). Could never really tell a difference.I tried using one of the desk top Ultra Clarifier's that you drop the disc into and then engage the power. It cycles automatically, running for quite a while longer than i would have ever thought about doing manually. After using this model, i do hear smoother highs and a darker background.
