UF4007 substitute for BY228 in VTL 300 monos power supply

My VTL 300 mono using 4 of the high voltage diod BY228GI (1650V 5A.
A)Will a substitute to UF 4007 (1000V 1A) using 5 in parallell be a good idea?
B)A snubber for the above how to be designed incl. values.
(even if I read a lot of posters i am not 100% sure)
C) If replaced with Hexfreds instead shall each hexfred be bypassed with a capacitor 0,01uF and a resistor 270kohm all i parallell or only a capacitor?
