There aren't many reviews out there. Search the Planethifi.com and Soundstage.com, where is a couple of reviews, all "glowing." As far as tweaking, it all depends on what you want it to do. As you know, the amp has tremendous grip and definition in the bass, but probably not the last word in explosiveness and pure volume/impact a la huge Krells. If this is a problem a good power cord will solve it (I recommend Audience powerChord or TG HSR-i squared. Do NOT use the stock power cord at any cost!) A good power cord will improve everything else as well top-to-bottom. If your system needs more in the tube-like bloom and beauty department, the Audience is your ticket. If you want more focus, definition, detail, yet still very natural and harmonic tone, TG HSR-i squared is just awesome. Mix and match BDR cones with Polycrystal under the amp and experiment to your taste.
I would NOT recommend you fiddle inside because the amp is very unique because of its digital design and there are many ways to mess up the digital circuitry. It will also void the warranty, and no one will touch this amp if it breaks down except Spectron.
