I have done some simple, but very affective mods on my CAL. First I added vibration damping sheets all over the housing, transport and on different places on the PC board.
Than I added sorbothane feet under the player. This really warmed up the mids and the bass and also made the sound a lot less aggressive.
I'm planning on replacing the rec. diodes with some FREDS and also exchanging the power caps with a better quality cap, like Nichicon or so.
If any of you guys out there have some more experience with modifying this (pretty good) CD player, we would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks
