Hi, I own a 302b and have done a number of modifications to it, starting with the triode mod. I believe that the only difference between the 302 and 502 amps is a couple of resistor values are different and hence different power tubes can be used. The process of triode conversion should be the same. Do a search here on AA for Jolida triode mod and you will find a wealth of information. For the EL34 tube, the mod involves pins 3 and 4, removing a wire and soldering a 100ohm resistor between pins 3 & 4...that's it. I am hesitant to give you specifics beyond that, because I do not have a schematic for the 502, but I know that others have done it and it is not difficult. The result is well worth the effort and the cost is about $0. Good luck, e-mail me if you want more information or have more questions.Dan W.
