>>It's too early to comment on improvements, but I find it kind of strange, having sounds that seem to be coming from behind the center lens.<<All acoustical products including modified Helmholz resonators, are "room dependent" on how they will react. For example, in my room the center RoomLens was definitely the most effective of all I used and where it was placed (forward or back) made a big difference from "OK" to "Not quite OK". My RoomLens were the authentic products --- not the DIY versions.
>>I'm thinking about trying the center one behind my listening spot. Has anyone used this placement?<<
Again, in my room it did "nothing" behind the listening position no matter where I placed it -- either on the floor or raised on a platform.
These are just experiences in MY room and will differ for others and other rooms.
Best wishes,
Jim
