Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
This may not be a real tweaker's question, but I figured you guys looking over the tweaker sites have a good deal of technical understanding and know how.
Just got a nice British integrated amp from B+W - Aura VA 100 II. The Amp I had before ( Acurus DIA 100 )never felt warm when touching it.
So I would like to know what is the reason for this amp to run so hot, even when no music is playing. The transformer itself does not feel hot, so I don't think it's an overworked Transformer.
Could this mean that this is a Class A Amp or a amp with a high output current?
