The other issue (apart from SOA), is the increased amount of heatsinking required, for 16 output devices. Bias current through EACH device must be the same, regardless of how many output devices are used. The entire amp will run hotter.Certainly, with Zero Global NFB designs, more output devices = lower output impedance = superior sound quality.
