That much contact cement??? Doesn't that strike you as kind of crazy (not you, the glue)? That must have added 30 lbs to your speakers. Mass-loading via glue.Given the fact that MDF is just paper pulp and glue I'm really shocked it took that much to stick. Is this normal for MDF?
Last time I checked a gallon of contact cement was quite expensive. What did you have to fork out total for the cement, veneer and finishing, out of curiosity?
