I made the mistake of completely rebuilding two pairs of vintage amps using only Holco resistors. In all four amplifiers, the failure was that the resitors became very noisey. There were pops and crackles that drove me nuts until I read that it was the Holco's that were in high voltage circuits. I still use them for less than 100 volts applications and love the sound.
