I have two pairs and when one stopped working, I unscrewed the connectors and noticed the solder on one had separated from the wire.I got my soldering iron and I soldered the wire back using WBT silver solder and now its back online doing its thing.
However after inspecting all the connectors I noticed that the soldering on the BLACK coded connectors for BOTH pairs was done
very sloppy. The white teflon insulation was partially melted away, solder traces all over the place and the gold plating inside was all dark and burned. The RED coded interconnect looks clean and shiney inside as it should be.
I bought these filters 6 months appart and they both look like they were made by the same sloppy process.
For $600 per pair I feel the quality control leaves a lot to be desired. Monster Cable makes better cable connections.
