SHould not be a problem for home hi-fi. With the typical crest factor (the difference between the peaks of music, and the RMS values) running anywhere from 18 to 25 dB, the average dissipation of the speaker components is one hundreth that of the peak levels.How else do you think that a 1" dome tweeter that can basically handle 20 W RMS sine wave long term can be used in systems rated for 100's of watts?
