In my opinion, and a girl friend's who tests reactions for me so its a little more objective, the Enacom is a worhthwhile investment.
The difference is a lower noise floor. This allows a more relaxed, natural acoustic to come through.
The decay on sounds seems to go on a lot longer so that you can hear the resonance of instruments much more clearly.
You don't need a top end system to hear the effect of these things.
I rate them very highly. I have them in all 3 systems I'm running.
