The best shielding materially available that I am aware is TI Shield material made by Texas Instruments available from Percy. This is a sandwich of a proprietary alloy with a 1 mil copper clad on both sides. While generic 1 mil copper produces an approximate attenuation of 3 dB TI claim > 60 dB attenuation of both EMI & RFI. It is available in several grades and the medium grade is realatively easy to work with. It makes a very audible improvement when used to shield the IC in a CD player or DA Converter, particularly when used on the Digital Filter and DAC. Also, ground the case of the xtal to the top GP of the pcb.
