I have a Jolida 502B and did several mods in it.
I replaced the original volume pot with a TKD 50K (Michael Percy carries it). Very transparent, but expensive too: around $50-60. It fits perfectly between the front plate and PCB. You just have to widen the mounting hole a few mm, use a step drill bit if you can. Don't forget to take the balance pot out of the loop.If you have a Jolida that uses 12AX7 (I think they all do), try NOS Sylvania. I got a pair recently from Kevin Deal (Upscale Audio), and they sound phenomenal. Much better presence. It replaced NOS GE long plates that are also excellent but a bit on the bright side.
Happy tweaking.
Julien
