Have a look at the Extra Points brass speaker spikes from Audio Concepts (www.audioc.com/accessories). I just got a set yesterday, on the recommendation of a fellow inmate. They were $29.95 for a set of eight, and, though I haven't auditioned them extensively, they are very well made and have a none-too-subtle impact on bass clarity and extension. They also level out very easily, something that I've not been able to accomplish quite so easily using the spikes supplied with Meadowlark Kestrels. Why every manufacturer of speakers costing $1K and up doesn't supply a set of decent spikes like the Extra Points is beyond me. After all, they would cost what, maybe 12 bucks wholesale for a set of eight?
