Snubber For UF4007 diode, Please Help!

Hi there. I have been working for two days to apply a snubber to a single UF diode in my ST70's bias supply. I have .01uf ceramic cap and a 10ohm resistor for a Bottlehead type snubber( For info do a search for snubber at Bottlehead).
All my attempts have failed or have not produced an improvement. Any ideas, suggestions? Please help!!!
