Are their S.E. output transformers OK. Being that I will be using a single driver speaker do I really need a killer transformer? I figure on having 40Hz-16KHz response from the speaker if I'm lucky. So for me will an A.E.S. or Hammond transformer be OK or should I look at Magnaquest, Electron One or the least expensive Tamura. What about Lundahl transformers? Unique design and not too dire. It seems that we pay for better performance at the extream ends of the audio spectrum but how do cheap vs expensive transformers sound in the middle? Should us wide-range driver people be as picky?
