Layout Question for MOSFET headphone amp

207.162.228.6

I am building a MOSFET headphone amp, which will be the first electronics project I've done except for a speaker crossover I did recently.

I chose a really simple circuit (from www.headwize.com) and am using high quality, over-engineered parts. I've decided to hardwire it using terminal strips rather than a perf board. I bought a nice big Hammond aluminum box to put everything in.

My question is -- how concerned do I need to be about lead distances between components? Are there any really critical areas where leads should be kept as short as possible?

IE is it better for the output leads from the output caps to the headphone jack to be as short as possible, or the lead from the volume pot to the mosfet, etc.

Any thoughts appreciated --

Steve
