Hi Bob;I had a pair of Cary SLM 100's and I converted them from pentode to triode as you are doing. I used the Dale resistors. These are the ones that Cary uses, and it made quite a positive difference in the amps. Even though it dropped the power from 100wpc to 60wpc, I really didn't notice the power difference in my system. I felt that the amps became more involving, and focused.
I have since gone to SET. I have an AES SE-1 amp and a Cary CAD-845 integrated. Both are SET class A triode.
I think you will like your amp(s) better in triode. If not, the procedure is easy to change back. Good Luck.
