I haven't used these tar things but I have used an idea I got some years ago that you might like. I built two small satilites about 18 x 7 x 9. I wanted them to be stiffer even though they were one inch MDF. I use plastic lighting grill, the open honeycomb type. The opening were about one half inch each. I cut sections to fit each inside panel and used epoxy to glue them down. The boxes are so dead they could hurt your hand to knock on them. bobwire
