I am new to soldering and not sure if this is a silly question.
I experience something strange when soldering the silver wire onto DACT attenuator and source selector.
I was using a stationery clip to hold the silver wire so that it is constantly touching the contact point. When I solder the wire onto the point and when I removed my soldering iron, the wire follows the soldering iron to a distance of about 1mm. The same happen if I pre tin both wire and point.
Anyone know why this happen and how to remedy this?I end up holding the clip myself so that I can put more force to prevent the wire from moving but as my hand do wobble, it is not a very nice job.
I do not have such problem when soldering 12 female RCA.
