Try looking for Audio/August 1985. Richard J. Kaufman did a real nice circuit that I have use in several forms. It boosts bass at a center f and has a differant rolloff for each side of that. I use a modified circuit for my subs. I also used it as designed and have given it to other that have used it and love it. I would update the opamp however. He used a TLO72. I'd go with a AD827 and I regulate the power supply. Use .1/1000uf to decouple the opamps. I also matched all the component values. Since mine was fixed f, I used fixed resistor instead of pots.
