I have to question the logic used on this one Jack. Cones "add a sonic signature" but "damping devices" don't ?If damping devices don't alter the sound or "add their own sonic signature", then what good are they ? You would never notice a difference and would have literally wasted your money. They simply alter the sound / performance of the system in a different way.
Isolation or absorbtion WILL affect the system one way or the other. Whether or not you like the results of the damping / isolation device used on that specific component is strictly personal preference. Sean
