I have to agree with the simple fact that voltage does vary throughout the day depending on the load out of your control. For years now I have used several APC power conditioners that input whatever the grid is offering that day then convert it to DC and convert it back to a well regulated AC. I have a very steady 120 volts at a very precise 60Hz going to the equipment. I have a Bob Latino ST-70 with all the upgrades that I admit that I check about every two months and the bias just does not drift. APC has done a very good job with their Pure Sine Wave UPS systems. They work well.
I did this out of frustration after talking with an electrical engineer working in our locale for the power company. He just waved his arms out and said, "You didn't hear it from me but what comes off the grid is garbage and variable. If you have delicate electronics of any kind do something to protect them!"
