I think for the money the JJ 2A3-40s cannot be beat. I ran them for years and always liked them, compared to Sovtek, Shuguang 2A3C.
I just recently got a pair of Emission Labs perf plates, haven't been able to directly compare yet but I believe they'll prove to be even better than the JJs.
JJs are about $240 / pair, EMLs $800+ here in the USA
