Commonly called a dimple-disc.

Was a feature of some of their small signal tubes produced from late 1960's to early 1970's. I've used their dimple-disc 6DJ8s in the past and found them to be very good sounding tubes. I have no idea how their 12AU sounds, but then it was never among my favorite tubes in the first place.
