It's handy to have a double triode like the 6SN7 and one that sounds pretty good. But is it inferior to a couple of 6J5 types?
- the 2C22/7193 is probably the crown jewels of 6J5 types
- the 6P5 is very nice sounding, successor to the 76, 27, 37, 56
- some of the 6J5 family were very good, especially the G and GT versions
So is a 6SN7 a compromise? What do you think?
