I generally use a cotton cloth to handle tubes, or wipe them down with same after handling with bare hands. Cleaning with alcohol would tend to remove the logos and as my amps are completely open (Cary SLM100) that would make me sad when I look at them. I am more concerned about oils from my skin contributing to the early demise of halogen bulbs in my car's exterior lights.
