Newer New Old Stock sounds better.

Hi Kevin,

OK, I'll break the streak with one example.

My favorite 6DJ8 is a mid to late 1970's production Holland Amperex 6922 (Mullard branded). Sounds better than ANY 6DJ8 type I've heard so far in my systems, including all the older, revered ones. Even sounds tremendous in an RF app, which is where I use 'em nowadays.

What unabashed heresy I commit, using a 6DJ8 where it was designed to go!
