Larry-You can easily unscrew the binding post to remove the metal jumpers. Replace them with short runs (3") of whatever cable you like. I have not spent extensive time tweaking with one jumper versus another, but I think any high quality copper cable would be a significant upgrade.
Signum was the last speaker that Mr Serblin designed with bi-wiring as an option. Styles tend to come and go in this business, and I think bi-wire is something which is not as fashionable as it once was.
