I have the B15 and my dad has the HGS15. I have not compared them side by side but I prefer the B15 over the HGS15. The B15 appears to go deeper than HGS 15. The B15 has a lot more features than the HGA series. The B15's 3 band parametric EQ is really effective in helping with room acoustic problems. My B15 is used for both music and HT applications. Prior to the B15, I would not consider a sub for music but the B15 is a pretty amazing sub. In fact, I amy get another one next year. How the B15 compares to HGS 18 - I don't know.
