B&W 802 Series 80

I have a pair of B&W 802 Series 80 speaker.
The image is blur (compare to my ProAc Response 2.50 clone).
Bass is not impressive.
But still I like the sound from my old B&W 802.
How can I improve it?
I've read a post some time ago, it suggested to bypass the
overloading circuitory.
But how to do it?
Any other mod to improve the sound quality?
