My projected setup includes ceramic nOrh 4.0's mated to an AudioSource Amp Two (I'm in my final year at college) to be further enhanced by a Hsu VTF-2. The rolloff for the 4.0's are 65-70hz at -3db. The Hsu website indicates the passive crossover goes as low as 60 but several posts I've read here indicate that it is actually closer to 90Hz. Would I have to worry about the sub blending with the bookshelfs properly? I found a passive hi frequency filter from ACI that plugs into the amp outputs for $29/pair and is set at 65hz. Would this be a viable solution or should I just leave well enough alone?
Thanks,
Laz
