Dave,
your projection screen TV has three individual CRT's, one red, one green and one blue. These all project, via mirors, onto the screen of your TV. In a standard TV, where the three color "guns" exist in one CRT a strong magnet will affect color saturation, convergence, and purity. In a projection TV it is probably not possible for the speaker to be close enough to the CRTs to have an impact, but if it could, it would probably only affect the color of the closest CRT.
