Since most people recommend what they own, I'll do the same. The Paradigm Servo 15. I've mated it with MANY hi end speaker systems and it has never let me down. Currently using it with Vandy 3a's and it is seemless. Under $1k, you'll probably have to look for a used one though. If it works for music, it will work for HT.
