I use a piece of string. The absolute distance isn't critical, it's just important that all the distances are as close to being the same as possible. The height is a matter of preference. Elevated to about the level of your ears is what I prefer. I have also found that you and the speakers should form pretty close to an equilateral triangle.Whereabouts are you?
