Re: Filter cut-off frequency

As I understand it, the over lap from low frequency driver to the upper end driver will effective sum at 70 hz. If you have a sub that is crossed over at 70 (and therefore -3db at that frequency) AND if you have the main speaker high passed at the same frequency (which will also then be -3db), then (and hoping that both low and high are properly in phase with respect to each other), the summation at the crossover frequncy should be equal or 0-db (flat).

Different orders of crossover will yield different results of course (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc...).
