Thank you for the reply. So, this is weird. Can I assume that four monoblock amps bi-amping a pair of speakers are working just as hard as a pair of monoblocks driving the speakers full range? This is counterintuitive to me as one would think the amps driving the upper frequencies would be spared some work not having to drive the woofers. However, what the amps "see" are the passive crossovers in the speakers. I would think also that speaker sensitivity would change in the sense that with separate passive internal crossovers for the highs and lows, when these are bridged (and driven by a single amp) the sensitivity would be different in comparison to when the highs and lows are driven separately.
