Totem Forest vs. Hawk in smaller room

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I am interested in purchasing a pair of Totem Forest or Hawk
speakers. I have heard the Hawk at a dealer, but not the Forest. Speaker placement is not very optimal in the room. Room is 12x15,with 11' vaulted ceiling. Speakers will have to be located on the 13' wall, with speakers only about 2 feet out from front wall. Amp is McIntosh MC252 (250W).
Currently using VonSchweikert VR-3.5. These seem to be too big for the room. Looking for a more refined sound, for lack of better description. Listen mostly to jazz, but do listen to all types of music.
