Hi,Just received an old Jensen F15LL field coil speaker pulled from a Leslie organ. The seller said that it worked well...well maybe...its field coil and voice coil measure correctly but the woofer's surround edges have small holes in them...as if moth had eaten the paper.
Should I recone the speaker by a professonal with me supplying the genuine NOS cone (can buy a pair of Jensen genuine cones from ebay)?
Is there a significan sonic difference from the NOS Jensen cone vs. original cone?
I have also bought a different pair of F15LLs that are on their way to me but the seller did state both were reconed. So, if I were to recone the one with holes, I was going to select two that match electrically and send both F15LLs to:

Anyone have experience with Tonewheel place or recommend a better place for Jensen recone? I live in Seattle area. I heard there was a place in Tacoma that does reconing of JBL drivers.
Thanks for your help.
